About the role & clinic:
You’ll become part of our small animal practice with a friendly, close-knit team of 4 Vets (including yourself) and a team of experienced nurses and support staff. We also have the support and benefits of being part of a large group. Our 100% small animal clinic is located in the beautiful suburb of Cashmere just 10 minutes from the Christchurch City Centre, nestled between the Port Hills and the Heathcote river.
We have wonderful clients whose pets are part of the family – we offer 20 minute consults and Wellness plans to support the ongoing health of our patients.
Our clinic is spacious, and we have a great range of equipment allowing us to offer a full range of GP services from consults, to dentals, routine surgery and ultrasound.
We are open Monday-Saturday, Closed on Sundays and Public holidays. We support the Christchurch After-Hours back up roster – this is back up only – max a few times per year each Vet – and call-outs are rare! Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a confident Small Animal Veterinarian with 3+ years’ experience – you have the option of a consulting only role, or 1 day on surgery per week. You’ll enjoy working as part of a supportive team, and be comfortable with some sole charge.
You need to be eligible to practice as a Veterinarian in New Zealand, with BVSc or equivalent + NZ Vet Council Registration Visa sponsorship is not available for this position applicants must hold open work rights in NZ.
